Gender, Sex, and Sexual Orientation Identities Don’t Have to ‘Match’
I identify with gay / androsexual males. But I don’t identify as or pass as a man. My gender identity is androgyne, or genderqueer for simplicity, but my sexual identity is very much with aliged with being gay / androsexual and identifying as male sex-wise and conceiving of my attraction to others and my body accordingly. I think the general assumption that my gender identity must ‘match’, according to popular conceptions, with my sex and/or sexuality just serves to reinforce binary thinking about bodies and identities in general. This combination of identities feels very right to me just the way it is, and just the way I am.
What do you think?

Yep. I think of myself as homoromantic in the same way you are androsexual, even though my gender identity is neutrois / agender.

Thumbs up. Be who you believe you are not who the world sees you as.
